So here's something I will always remember: What they are doing is not legal, and if they report you to the police because you didn't pay them... The cops wouldn't care! We said prior the ride that it was €20 altogether but she insisted it was €60! And we paid.

Dubrovnik, I'm coming for you!

My friend and I made our way to the airport heading to Croatia as my sister stayed in Paris for an extra few days.

I've always wanted to visit Dubrovnik, and I finally had the chance! Dubrovnik is not really well known to many people, but Game of Thrones is filmed here. I've never really watched the show, but I did climb the ancient city walls!

Once my friend and I landed at the airport, we bought a return shuttle bus for $70KN each into town, approximately $13AUD.Read more

Beautiful weather in Croatia, and located just off the ocean, Dubrovnik is hands down thus far the most gorgeous and stunning place I have set my foot on!

Old Town Dubrovnik, Croatia

Our stay was in Old Town, right on top of all the stairs. I lugged my 20kg suitcase up so many stairs in really hot weather - I definitely felt a sense of achievement when I reached the top. The Croatian lady we stayed with was a lovely lady, whom I really liked. The weather was so hot, we appreciated the cold orange juice she offered us the first thing we stepped foot inside the house!

Our room was upstairs, and another sense of achievement was felt since the stairs were so narrow! I was so glad our room had aircon, oh so glad!Read more

Walking along the City Walls is a must-do when you're in Dubrovnik. The view from above is simply gorgeous! It does cost to do it though, but you can either pay in Euros or Kunas. It cost us $100KNpp, which is $20AUD, a pretty standard entry fee.Read more

Sunset Dinner Cruise

Another activity well recommended, by me, is to do the sunset dinner river cruise. I have said this before, but I'll say it again... I LOVE sceneries, and sailing around the Croatian sea was absolutely stunning!

The dinner cruise cost us $400KN ($72AUD), and we booked it pretty much the first hour we set foot in Old Town. I only brought with me $700KN to spend in Croatia, so I was scrapped with money the rest of the time I was there as I only had about $230KN left. Normally I don't include activity money with my spending money, but it was a spontaneous decision to do the dinner cruise. Life is all about living in the moment right?! They make the best moments. Although you can pay with Euros in Croatia, I knew I couldn't spend too much as I had two more destinations to go in Europe.

When you hop on the ship you recieve a complimentary glass of champagne. Dinner included a buffet of all types of food, fruits and a glass of free drink. The food was amazing, it had a wide range of food - I had a huge plate and I also went back for seconds!

When you're traveling it pays off to be spontaneous (in my opinion), and in life, to just live, because you might not get the chance again!

Even though money was so tight in Dubrovnik for the next two days, I made it work and never regretted sailing into the night!Read more

They say you either love or hate Athens. I respect all cultures and differences, and I have to say.. It was hard to get use to. It was definitely an experience for me..

Only a day in Athens and the next day in Delphi, we only had limited time to explore before sailing off to one of the Greek islands.
The food was ridiculously cheap here, and our hotel Receptionist was extremely friendly. Our hotel room was spacious with a 3 bed room and with aircon and an ensuite.

The weather was so hot in Greece, it was great!Read more

I thought this was pretty awesome - a little too crowded though. A popular landmark in Athens, it was worth the visit! Entry fee was around €30.
