Today I went for a hike on the marked trails by the cottage. Thankfully the tracks had been run by snow mobiles so I didn't sink in to my knees every step. Everything was in the middle of melting, there were a lot of creeks starting to run. There were many spots where you could hear water gushing under the snow. I followed the snow mobile tracks in a loop, however, on the way back, the trail went over some wet lands that started to melt. I as I made my way around I noticed a large bird with white circles on its wings. I tried to find a way around the marsh, but eventually I sank into the snow and my boot filled with water.
