  • Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa

    July 13, 2020 in Cyprus ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

Definitely one of the most beautiful beaches and normally really crowded. White sand, turquoise water.

  • ️ Camping time with friends ☀️

    August 3, 2020 in Cyprus ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

👣Two days camping at the beach. Having a relaxed time with new friends ☀️🧘🏊 and even saw baby turtles (hatches) making their hard way into the big blue sea...! 😍😍😍 AMAZING!

  • Last day in Cyprus

    September 7, 2020 in Cyprus ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

We have decided to spend our last day at some spots where we enjoyed it the most over the last two months. We woke up at 5.00 am to see the sunset, but didn't manage to see it because of humidity. An army of moskito soldiers was attacking us so we had to wave the white flag and left this wonderful scenery. The next stop was at the Sea Caves. It was still early in the morning so we could enjoy this beautiful scenery alone (what a privilege, normally never happens according to locals). Afterwards we went to see the Sculpture park and Cactus park. In the evening we enjoyed our last sunset at Cape Greco and ended up having some drinks with our friends :)Read more

  • Departure to Greece - Crete

    September 8, 2020 in Greece ⋅ 🌙 24 °C

On 8.9. we have changed our destination from Cyprus to Greece, Crete. Our departure time was at 14.00 and luckily our amazing hosts from workaway gave us a ride to the airport. It was really hard to say goodbye after such a long time living together and sharing the same household. We had a great time with them, learned so much and for sure keep some great memories of this time in our hearts. It also helped us to grow personally and we are grateful for their expertise and knowledge. Efcharistó Tekli and Pavlos! Also for amazing food and endless amount of the best olive oil (Omega 3 👍).

Due to Corona we still decided to be somewhere close to home even if unfortunately the cases here are getting more every day again. School started and slowly it's getting"cold". But yes, first sign that it is getting cold is when Claudia is wearing her big fluffy extra double filled sexy socks (so probably it means that I'm slowly starting to wear again a T-shirt).

In Crete we have started in a small town called Koutoulofari and spent there 3 days. Crete is full of mountains, the village was full of small white coloured houses and tiny streets, where cars are barely able to drive.

  • GREECE Chania some days trip

    September 24, 2020 in Greece ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

We have spent some days in Chania, which is i think the most beautiful and picturesque town in whole Crete. The city of Chania managed to preserve its original colors and historical character, despite the fast-growing tourist industry. The old city has preserved to a great extent the distinctive atmosphere and charm of the Venetian and Turkish periods. Entire Venetian, Turkish and Jewish quarters are saved, with well preserved buildings in the narrow picturesque streets.
We have made a day trip also to Preveli beach. At the exit of the river, a sandy beach with pebbles and sand is formed, with sea water so it was very cool due to the river. But we have luckily survived.

  • Stunning Santorini

    September 28, 2020 in Greece ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

Did you know that the whole complex of Santorini islands is still an active volcano and probably the only volcano in the world whose crater is in the sea? The islands that form Santorini came into existence as a result of intensive volcanic activity. We definitely didn't know it. Its so far the most beautiful place we have ever seen. Its worth to go there. I think its completely enough to make 3 days trip and you will be able to explore the whole island.💕Its charged with amazing romantic atmosphere and nice people, lots of shops and bars with stunning views.Read more

  • Short visit in Athens

    October 2, 2020 in Greece ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

Crete / Santorini / (Last Stop) ATHENS

We had 2 days in this town, so it was really not much time to explore a lot, and we were really tired and lazy from traveling to get out from our Airbnb home, but still... Come on... we had to see at least Acropolis. 😱
Over the centuries, it was many things: a home to kings, a citadel, a mythical home of the gods, a religious center and a tourist attraction. It has withstood bombardment, massive earthquakes and vandalism yet still stands as a reminder of the rich history of Greece. We have visited the Acropolis museum as well and got some nice insights.

After some time in Greece we decided to leave Europe because on the on side it got slowly colder, but more importantly Covid cases rose rapidly.

  • Africa - Tanzania - Dar es Salaam

    October 4, 2020 in Tanzania ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

The ancient name of Africa was Alkebulan. Alkebu-lan “mother of mankind” or “garden of Eden”, I really don't know if Garden of Eden looked like this before, but now its just amazing. Almost everything around looks just so rural, basic and in some places people suffer from huge poverty but in general people seem to be really happy. Its filled with happiness and good mood everywhere where we go. People are so different like in Europe. They are smiling, chatting on the street gathered in bigger groups and almost everyone is greeting us. They are so happy to see white faces because its a signal that tourism is slowly coming back to normal.Read more

  • Tanga - our home for self-development

    October 7, 2020 in Tanzania ⋅ 🌙 24 °C

Currently we are staying for one month in Tanga (located at the north coast of Tanzania, close to the boarder to Kenia). We have arrived after 6 hours of traveling in a so called luxury bus from Dar es Salaam. Someone brought a small chicken with him and traveled with it for 3 hours through the country, on the seat next to us (funny experience).

Tanga is so different to Dar- here people are much calmer, peaceful and not so pushy, they are not trying to sell you something on every corner, not at all. On the contrary, people are so nice and polite, incredible.

One funny moment was when we were trying to chase som monkeys we entered the property of one of our neighbors and after a small chat they invited us for dinner. We actually cooked this dinner together with them. It was sooooo delicious.

Local food is ridiculously cheap compared to how, fruits and vegetables from the market are unbelievably tasteful and cheap and organic.
We are loving and enjoying it so far.

  • Peponi beach

    October 29, 2020 in Tanzania ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

For longer time we haven´t had time to upload new pictures (or honestly we were just lazy) but we are slowly moving from town to town and we feel like we want to update our status and share some photos with you. We made a trip to Peponi beach with our Airbnb hosts and their lovely kids. Food was great and ridiculously cheap. For this huge sea food plater we paid just 18 EUR.
On the last picture you can see our tailored clothes by a local lady. We see people dressed in beautiful colorful local clothes all the time and we wanted to fit into the community, so we have decided to make our fitting outfit. It´s a great feeling to be a little bit separated from grey, black and white clothes what we are always used to wear.

Can you guess where will be our next stop? It´s an island with white sandy beaches.
