    Day 4: Borda

    I made a last-minute decision this morning to walk to Borda. I emailed Laurent and asked him if he could make room, and he said yes he had a bed for me. I've been coming here from the time he opened and so he was really nice to put in an extra bed for me. If you've never stayed here, you're really missing out. It's just a beautiful place. Anyway, I'm going to post some photos now of the walk and later I'll add photos of the facility.

    I do have to say that this was the most difficult it has ever been for me to make this walk. I have absolutely no stamina. It was walk five steps stop and take some breaths, walk five steps and take some breaths. But I made it up here and it was a gorgeous day so I'm feeling really happy about my decision.

    I do not plan on walking the rest of the Napoleon route. Tomorrow I will walk back down to SJPP and take the bus to Roncesvalles.    Read more
