Termite Mounds

Litchfield is famous for its termite mounds, these are visible all over the NT but seem super tall in this NP.

The taller moulds are called Cathedral Termite Mounds and are found off the floodplains. The smaller are Magnetic Termite Mounds are found on the floodplains are are positioned north/south to stay as cool as possible in the tropical heat.Læs mere
