  • Florence Falls

    18 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 33 °C

It didn't take long after setting up at Florence Falls Campground to find our nearest waterhole for swimming. We chose the 135 steps down (and then back up) to get there but once we had arrived we were greeted with a spectacular double waterfall into a cool waterhole perfect on a hot afternoon.

The volume of water down the waterfalls was crazy, we all swam up and under one of the falls, Olivia was a bit apprehensive but there were squeals of excitement. We didn't want to leave straight away so enjoyed sitting in the creek with our toes in the water watching people climb the cliff walls to jump off into the deep section of the waterhole.

135 steps and we were back up the top again ready for our next adventure.

  • Tjaynera Falls (Sandy Creek)

    19 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

A 3.4km return walk winds along the creek to this beautiful plunge pool. A welcome swimming spot on a hot day. We were lucky enough to see a water monitor when we arrived who was happily sunning itself on the warm rocks.

Olivia once again was amazing, walking the track herself and kept getting up after each stumble.

This walk is part of the Reynolds 4WD track in southern Litchfield NP.

    23 Ogos 2023, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 33 °C

The biggest natural pool to date to swim in, and boy was it a welcome sight! After a hot day driving, we were all very happy to have a cool dip. Dad was a superhero and swam with Olivia on his back all the way to the waterfall and back which was quite a long way!

We had planned on staying 2 nights at Edith Falls, but as the planned walk looked super hot and exposedand the NP caravan sites also hot, we decided to pack up and go the next day and head west.
