  • Warroora Station Rain

    November 6, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

We woke up this morning to the sound of thunder, winds blowing and we were thankful to be heading off today. We hoped to drive through the rain storm that was passing south of Warroora Station over Lake Macleod but we just missed two rain cells and all we got was a few big spots to make the already salty, dirty car look even worse!Read more

  • Sacha-Belles Spot

    November 5, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌩️ 30 °C

Oh wow, did we pick the perfect morning to visit this beautiful spot on the Warroora Station Coastline. There was hardy any breeze, the tide was low enough to swim in the tidal rockpools and the sun was shining.

We had so much fun exploring the little pools, searching for fish, corals and shells. A walk along the beach uncovered caves in the rock shelf, beautiful rock patterns and a kangaroo hopped down the beach!

  • Sandy Point

    November 4, 2023, Indian Ocean ⋅ 🌩️ 27 °C

Another fun Coastal 4x4 Track from Coral Bay bought us into Warroora Station and the very picturesque Sandy Point Campground. Situated a stones throw from the beautiful turquoise Waters, and with Mabel protecting us from the southerly winds, we have enjoyed a couple of quiet, relaxing days on the southern Ningaloo Coastline.

Joel hooked but lost a huge fish that finally took the doomed lure, Oli loved finding the shells and sea sponges and "caught" a crab 🦀. It was definitely worth the two almost too steep sand dunes poor Mitch had to tow big bottom Mabel up to get here.

  • Mum's Manta Ray Tour

    November 3, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

We stayed an extra night in Coral Bay so mum could tick off a bucket list item and swim with a Manta Ray. It was the most perfect day for a trip out onto the reef. Starting with an hour drift snorkel across some beautiful coral reefs, seeing heaps of beautiful fish!

But the best part was getting three swims with a Manta Ray. The beautiful big 4m female Ray was happy to swim around and let us watch her gracefully gliding through the water. What a fabulous experience!

  • Lakeside Snorkelling

    October 31, 2023, Indian Ocean ⋅ 🌬 27 °C

Lakeside was a magical afternoon snorkelling spot after a morning at the Oyster Stacks. WA has lived up to its "Windy Always" status but the blue of the water is so alluring. It was a bit of a walk out, but that made the reef, coral, fish and snorkelling experience even better. Some of the best we have seen so far! Plus the sand was strewn with beautiful stones so Oli loved searching while Mummy went for her 2nd snorke.Read more
