Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

We didn't have to rush this morning. The bus picked us up at 10.15 to take us to the station to catch the train to Nanu Oya. The trip took about 4 hours but the scenery was worth it and many photos to sort through. The bus met us when we arrived and took us on to Nuwara Eliya, one of the coolest areas in Sri Lanka as it sits at an elevation of 1800 metres amongst tea plantations. It was favoured by the Scots and English in the colonial era, as can be seen by some of the buildings and gardens.Les mer
