Vancouver Day 3

Today we started the day with a private breakfast with the Tauck group. Our luggage was taken from our hotel to the ship while we boarded a coach for a tour of Vancouver. We drove through Stanley park and stopped at the Totem Poles. We then got back on the bus and headed to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. The bridge is 460 feet in length and suspended 230 feet above the Capilano River. Not the most relaxing walk across a bridge we have ever had, especially since there are another 100 people doing the same thing! We then walked through the treetops and the Cliff Walk. Amazing views.

We got back on the coach and headed to Granville Island for “scattered” lunch. At 3:00 we finally “attempted” to board the ship. While Jim was on the manifest and listed at customs, Mary Ann (aka the sleeper cell terrorist) was not! Obviously it was human error but resulted in some very comical situations. After convincing Boarder Patrol, SilverSea to let me through, we finally boarded and were greeted in our room with a bottle of champagne! Let the fun begin!Read more
