Anchorage Day 11

Today we had our final breakfast at the hotel and then had to keep ourselves occupied until 11:55 pm for our red-eye flight back to AZ. We walked around Anchorage and found plenty of attractions to keep up busy. We went on the site-seeing Red Trolley ride around town, then went to a spectacular showing of the Aurora Borealis-Northern Lights show at the Performing Arts Center. We also went to the old federal building for an exhibition of Alaska’s Public Lands, put on by the National Parks Service. For free, this was an amazing display that included 5 different short films about the Klondike Gold Rush, the 1964 Anchorage earthquake and the ecosystems of Denali. By the time we were done, it was time to meet our new friends from the cruise for dinner and then off to the airport. While we had an amazing, awesome, memorable trip, it was time to go home and sleep in our own bed! Goodbye Alaska.En savoir plus
