Canning Stock Route

April 2019 - January 2020 Les mer
  • Well 41

    23. mai 2019, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

Awesome day, the wells are getting dryer.
We came across some country that seemed to be in it's normal condition. This is the first time that we have seen this.
We went across Tobin Lake and had lunch at Tobin's grave area.
Mark then lead the troupes, we all followed along but he was way ahead of us.
    Lots of sand dunes today.
When we got here, the well was operational so we had showers & washed. Unfortunately Bruce knocked Mark's bucket into the well. The guys spent ages and it wasn't recovered, however lots of trees and bits of wood were removed.

    27. mai 2019, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

    Staying two nights here.
We all tied in some branches for firewood.
The track in was very overgrown atm. I guess by the end of the season it won't look like this.
Mr T had a bit of a problem with the long grass, it built up under him and had to be removed......
We actually saw two cars today. One went passed while we were up Eastern Hill and the other we passed while they were stopped on the track having lunch (that is something we had all been doing as there had been so little traffic).
    Got the Spotted Night Jar.

Had a very windy days with temperatures in the teens!!
Billiluna were doing a stock take today so no fuel or food.
Yesterday Mulan was deserted as they were all at a funeral. We did get directions from a guy there on how to get out of the town, however we couldn't find the back road across to here so ended up having to go up to the Tannami Rd.
Stayed here for three nights. Lots of dust as the winds haven't stopped.
