  • Wave Rock, WA

    16.–17. sep. 2024, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

Had a nice night then went up the Rock early in the morning. Two people with dogs down the bottom & two people on top! It was great to have it to ourselves. Last time we were here there was a concert or something on so it was absolutely packed. They are setting up for another one now, so we timed it well.
Went over to Magic Lake at the Resort. Only two cabins had cars there at 9am!! Very very quiet indeed.

  • The Humps

    17. september 2024, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

Great eroded rocks & gullies, Mal had a ball!!
We did a round trip instead of heading back. When we got back to the other road, the stop go man said we were the first car on that road in two days!! Trust us....
I accidently deleted my camera file from the start of WA to Waychiniup Inlet, so no camera images.

  • Cheyenes Beach

    21.–30. sep. 2024, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

Here for the longest stay we have ever camped in one spot. Eleven nights!!!
Having tea at the Cafe for the first night, what a good start to the stay 👌 (Can't afford that every night)....
Got a average photo of the Bristlebird on the first afternoon. Have heard lots more & several Noisy Scrub-birds.
The Honey Possums are here so hopefully we get to see them.
Well we have decided to leave early & start heading home. It is a long way and time is limited unfortunately. I could have stayed here another week!! Loved it, it was very quiet, so that made it great.
I got 2 of the 3 skulkers & Paul got 2. Mine were the Bristlebird & the Noisy Scrub-bird. Paul's were the Bristlebird & the Western Whipbird.
Ended up only staying nine nights!

Very windy again today. We are going to cruise around town for a bit. Stayed in Minippa last night at the Apex Park again.
Decided to have breakfast at Eileen's (being Mal's Mums name).
Obviously Kimba is half way across Australia!!Les mer

  • Between Sturt NP & Noccundra

    7.–8. okt. 2024, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Decided to cancel our camping in Sturt NP and move on. Drove really slowly all day, I sat on the bonnet for a while and waved to Mal when I needed him to stop or go again!
This spot is on a shallow lake with lots of water birds.
We saw over 100 Pratincols each day, possibly 150 or more. It became too hard to count!

  • Talwood Gravel Pit

    10.–11. okt. 2024, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

Well this is our last night of this trip. Night 1402 in Vicky!
We both still love her and don't want to change her for anything else.
We stopped and helped a lady with a flat tyre. She is a cook at the Nindigully Pub, but isn't working tonight. Wendy & Jeff are heading out to Sara's as Jeff has been discharged from hospital. We were going to catch up with them tomorrow but that isn't going to happen now.
This gravel pit comes with a turtle! Well actually two turtles, one in each water hole.
We stopped in Gundy for breakfast, which was excellent. It was the first time we had been into the centre. Very busy in town.
