Camping for 3 nights. Have been very busy the last few days in Mt Isa.
Finally got a photo of the Kalkadoon Grasswren. It was 12°, windy & freezing up on top of a hill. That was at midday!!
Had a night in between here & Mt Isa beside a creek crossing. Left early in the morning and was lucky enough to see 1000's of budgies flying around.
Got with in 10 meters of a Wedgie!! Now that was exciting also.
Called in at Riversleigh fossil site.
When we got to Lawn Hill we opened the door to glass everywhere..... a stone I had collected had bounced out of the basket onto the sink cover 😞😞
    Looks a bit sad now!
Caught up with Graham & Christina here and am going Barking Owl hunting tonight. (Found it) 😊

Couldn't stay as caravan park was full.
This little place was half the price and just great.
There were chooks, Guinea fowl, turkeys, geese, black falcons, pigs & miniature horses!! And friendly staff.
Light rain today with a top of 22°.

We came over the Tuwakam Track today as the Indigenous community had the road closed on the Humbert Track (the one we had planned on going down).
It was very rocky and slow. 20 ks took about 3 hours. 1st & 2nd gear all the way.Les mer
