Jour 4 (dernier jour) à Rio de Janeiro

Dernier jour à Rio, et je voulais finir en hauteur… alors direction le Morro Dois Irmãos (les Deux Frères). Pour y accéder, on traverse la favela de Vidigal.

La randonnée jusqu’au sommet est un vrai défi. Mais quelle récompense ! D’en haut, la vue sur Rio est incroyable : d’un côté la plage d’Ipanema, de l’autre la forêt de Tijuca, et au loin le Pain de Sucre et le Christ Rédempteur.

L’après-midi, retour au bord de l’eau pour un dernier moment de détente sur la plage. Et pour recharger les batteries, rien de mieux qu’un grand bol d’açaí bien frais 🥣🍇. C’est la spécialité brésilienne par excellence : un fruit d’Amazonie mixé, souvent servi glacé avec des bananes et du granola.

Au revoir Rio… tu resteras gravé dans mes plumes roses. 💖

Last day in Rio, and I wanted to end on a high note… so off I went to hike the Morro Dois Irmãos (Two Brothers Hill). To get there, you pass through Vidigal favela.

The hike to the top is quite a challenge. But the reward is breathtaking! From above, you can see Ipanema Beach on one side, Tijuca Forest on the other, and in the distance Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer.

In the afternoon, I went back to the beach for some last seaside relaxation. And to recharge my energy, nothing beats a big bowl of fresh açaí 🥣🍇 — Brazil’s iconic Amazonian fruit, served frozen with bananas and granola.
