Chiang Mai (Jour 2)

Deuxième journée à Chiang Mai, direction les hauteurs et la nature.

Je commence par le célèbre Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, perché sur une montagne dominant la ville. C’est l’un des temples les plus sacrés du nord de la Thaïlande, censé abriter une relique de Bouddha.
Après quelques marches , j’arrive face au stupa doré. Vue incroyable sur Chiang Mai… quand la brume veut bien coopérer.

L’après-midi, changement total d’ambiance avec les Bua Tong Waterfalls, aussi appelées les Sticky Waterfalls. Ces cascades sont connues pour leurs roches calcaires non glissantes, qui permettent de grimper directement dans l’eau.
Je grimpe, je redescends, je rigole… et je me transforme en enfant pendant quelques heures. Un vrai terrain de jeu naturel, rafraîchissant et totalement unique.

Second day in Chiang Mai, heading for higher ground and nature.

I start with the famous Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, perched on a mountain overlooking the city. It’s one of the most sacred temples in northern Thailand and is believed to house a Buddha relic.
After climbing a fair number of steps, I reach the golden stupa. Amazing views over Chiang Mai… when the mist allows it.

In the afternoon, a complete change of mood at Bua Tong Waterfalls, also known as the Sticky Waterfalls. These waterfalls are famous for their limestone rocks that aren’t slippery, making it possible to climb straight up the cascades. I climb, slide back down, laugh a lot… and feel like a kid again.
