Cinque Terre

Yesterday we left Nice and travelled over mountains through tunnels to Genoa to Levanto we caught the train to Monterosso
Tom and I walked one and half kilometres on the cinque Terre walk up narrow steep steps we only had two hours before we had to meet up with the rest of the group so we turned back I spotted a little rocky beach so I scrambled over rocks and then stripped down to bra and my shorts and went into the beautiful clear water I was swimming along enjoying the cool water when my hand touched a herd lump it was a large white jellyfish then when I looked there were lots more , so I quickly swam back to shore and scrambled back over rocks and got dressed I didn’t have a towel but it was sunny so I dried out
The trains went on strike so we caught a boat to pot Venere which was beautiful Tom and I bought a gelato and sat down by the beach
We caught another boat to La Spezia where our hotel was, it was a steep walk up to a lift that took us up to the hotel level
La Spezia is a beautiful place the hotel was very luxurious lovely large fluffy towels
We walked to a small restaurant and had pasta Tom had seafood and I had carbonara both were nice then another gelato
Our breakfast this morning was delicious so many pastries was hard to choose which ones to try
