Day 9 on the Camino

Started the day from Vigo as the sun was rising. It took quite some time to reach the city outskirts and then we started to climb, up and up and up and up. Huge, steep ascent from the city. Along the way we walked through some beautiful small towns and some forested areas. We came across a very cool painting on a rock, a waterfall area with a couple benches for resting and chickens. In the Cabanas town - all houses except for this one lovely restaurant - O Eida Vella Taperia - operated out of the home of a very friendly woman who served us a beautiful charcuterie and cheese meal with bread. We arrived for the night to stay in our guest house in Redondela. We had dinner - I am sure we were the only non-locals in the place - where we enjoyed some more Spanish Vermouth and I ate cockles for the first time.Leia mais
