Baltic states party time

Easy day on the road with only 80 km of driving. After a dip in the Baltic Sea and another tick on our photo challenge list (“Horsepower”) we arrived at the magical second party location just in time for the buffet.

Tallin - Riga

Driving from Tallin to Riga brought us to some hidden gems: first the waterfall of Jägala and second the submerged ruins of Rummu prison. Check out the photos!
Riga is a young and vibrant city but our stay for just one night was too short for any kind of sightseeing besides the walk “home” from a superb Vinothek after an evening with wine, tapas and a lot of fun.Read more

Hill of crosses

Our challenge of the day took us to the Hill of Crosses near the Lithuanian city of Siauliai.
The actual origin of the place is unknown but in the younger history (especially in the 20th Century) the crosses were erected to remember the victims of war and tyranny. During the Cold War the place was destroyed multiple times by order.
Obviously we had to contribute our homemade cross and got a wish in return.Read more

Last whole day

Our last full day of the BSC took us from Ełk through the beautiful polish countryside (and terrible roads with pot holes that Kasi could easily disappear in) all the way to ‘Lazy’ right on the Baltic Sea where we spent our last evening in style! Watching the sunset and going night swimming! What a perfect last evening!Read more

We did it!!
After 16 amazing days through 9 countries driving 7560 km we arrived back in Hamburg safe and sound.
