      I'm exhausted, easily the hardest day physically that I've had. Mia was far ahead of me for most of the day. We climbed a mountain of pure rocks and my feet, knees, hips, everything hurts! We have a lovely room with 4 beds and a private bathroom so we're happy now. They have a swimming pool and the laundry is in the wash. I've got a pitcher of sangria for 5€ so it's all good.

      Estoy agotada, fácilmente el más difícil día físicamente que había. Mia fue lejos adelante de mi para más del día. Nosotras subido una montaña de puro rocas y mi pies, las rodillas, las caderas, todo me duelen! Tenemos un encantador habitación con 4 camas y un privado baño así estamos feliz ahora.       Our longest day yet, 18 miles in under 8 hours. We went a long time before our first breakfast and ended up skipping the second breakfast. We enjoyed lunch and a long break where we could take off our shoes and give our feet a break. We had 4 beds reserved at the albergue so that took away the rest of trying to race through the miles. We also know what we're capable of too and feeling pretty good about ourselves.

      Nuestro día más largo hasta la fecha, 18 millas en menos de 8 horas. Fuimos mucho tiempo antes de nuestro primer desayuno y terminamos omitiendo el segundo desayuno. Disfrutamos el almuerzo y un largo descanso donde pudimos quitarnos los zapatos y descansar. Teníamos 4 camas reservadas en el albergue, así que eso nos quitó el estrés de correr a través de las millas.       Grañón - Residencial El Cuartel

      Another good day weather wise. A few sprinkles that never turned into rain. We stopped by the road and met a man with a blue unicorn who gifted it to Mia. We stopped in Santo Domingo de la Calzada for a delicious lunch at the Wanderlust Restaurant that I'd heard about. We pushed on to Grañón and settled into the Spanish version of the Bates Motel. We walked into town and found a tasty dinner so all is well.

      Otro buen día en Camino con el clima. Algunas chispas que nunca se convirtieron en lluvia. Nos detuvimos en el camino y nos encontramos con un hombre con un unicornio azul que se lo regaló a Mia. Nos detuvimos en Santo Domingo de la Calzada para un delicioso almuerzo en el restaurante Wanderlust. Continuamos hacia Grañón y nos instalamos en la versión española del Motel Bates. Entramos a la ciudad y encontramos una sabrosa cena, así que todo está bien.      Læs mere

      Azofra - Municipal Albergue

      We are rocking this Camino! We've walked every step of the last 124.6 miles and we have 370 miles to Santiago. We had breakfast in our albergue and then headed out with a beautiful sunrise to send us off. We stopped in Najera for a bathroom break with pinchos. We continued on to Azofra and got a room at the Municipal Albergue. Two beds to each room and a foot pool as the crowning point so we're happy!

      ¡Estamos fabulosas este camino! Hemos caminado cada paso de las últimas 124.6 millas y tenemos 370 millas hasta Santiago. Desayunamos en nuestro albergue y luego salimos con un hermoso amanecer para despedirnos. Nos detuvimos en Nájera para tomar un descanso, usar el baño, y comer pinchos. Continuamos hacia Azofra y conseguimos una habitación en el Albergue Municipal. Dos camas para cada habitación y una piscina para pies como punto de coronación, ¡así que estamos felices!       We had another great day. The dreadful girl last night was still dreadful this morning. It started to rain as we left the albergue this morning so we ducked into a café for breakfast and it stopped. We had a lovely walk through varied terrain and only a few rolling hills. So many ripe grapes hanging on the vine! I want to eat them all but I resist. We have a lovely private room with bath and 4 beds for only 48€ so we're very happy here. We can look out from our balcony to the café across the street where many friends are visiting and eating together. We'll relax tonight and bed race tomorrow.

      Tuvimos otro gran día. La horrible joven de anoche todavía estaba terrible esta mañana. Comenzó a llover cuando salimos del albergue esta mañana, así que nos metimos en una cafetería para desayunar y se detuvo. Tuvimos un hermoso paseo por un terreno variado y solo unas pocas colinas. ¡Tantas uvas maduras colgando de la vid! Quiero comerlos todos pero me resisto. Tenemos una encantadora habitación privada con baño y 4 camas por solo 48 €, así que estamos muy contentas aquí.       We woke up at the crack of dawn 5:15am and met up with our Camino sisters at 6am. We walked in the dark for almost an hour and a half, some parts right on the highway with cars flying by. We had a light breakfast in Torres del Río and continued on at a quick pace. We reached Viana at a decent hour and lined our backpacks up to await the opening hour of noon. We were successful in getting beds!!

      Nos despertamos al amanecer a las 5:15 a.m. y nos encontramos con nuestras hermanas Camino a las 6 a.m. Caminamos en la oscuridad durante casi una hora y media, algunas partes justo en la carretera con autos volando. Tomamos un desayuno ligero en Torres del Río y continuamos a un ritmo rápido. Llegamos a Viana a una hora decente y alineamos nuestras mochilas para esperar la hora de apertura del mediodía. ¡Tuvimos éxito en conseguir camas!      Læs mere

      Today was another long, hot day but Mia is amazing! We have walked every damn step of this journey while people are falling out left and right around us. I'm so proud of us. We had a great day in spite of the odds and arrived at our destination. All the albergues were full so we went with a private hostel and got a private room with a bathroom. This is blowing our budget but there are no other options. The next town Logroño is having a huge wine festival so we're leaving super early tomorrow in hopes of getting a room in Viana. We've linked back up with part of our Camino family so we're happy.

      Hoy fue otro día largo y caluroso, ¡pero Mia es increíble! Hemos caminado cada maldito paso de este viaje mientras la gente se cae a la izquierda y a la derecha a nuestro alrededor. Estoy muy orgullosa de nosotras A pesar de las dificultades, tuvimos un gran día y llegamos a nuestro destino. Todos los albergues estaban llenos, así que fuimos con un albergue privado y obtuvimos una habitación privada con baño. Esto está arruinando nuestro presupuesto, pero no hay otras opciones. El próximo pueblo de Logroño está teniendo una gran fiesta del vino, así que nos vamos súper temprano mañana con la esperanza de conseguir una habitación en Viana.       We planned a shorter day today and it worked out just right. Walking in this sun is no fun. I've got a farmer's tan and a sock tan. Our albergue is supposed to have a pool and hammocks!

      I'm not going to lie, this was our toughest day yet. We walked through a huge thunderstorm that drenched us from head to toe in a matter of minutes. The second half was sunny but we still had soaking wet feet. We're here and we'll walk a shorter distance tomorrow. Mia is suffering from heat rash so walking these long distances is not allowing her to heal properly.

      No voy a mentir, este fue nuestro día más difícil todavía. Atravesamos una enorme tormenta que nos empapó de pies a cabeza en cuestión de minutos. La segunda mitad fue soleada pero todavía teníamos los pies mojados. Estamos aquí y caminaremos una distancia más corta mañana.
