Calgary

Mon 29th Aug. It was into the concrete jungle of Calgary today. Found where Doug had to go for his jaw x-ray (east side) and then headed into the city centre to check out an Outdoors shop to see if they had the tent we wanted. We were really wanting a bikepacking version, but no one seem to have these anymore so settled for the standard backpacking one. It was then back for Doug's 10 minute appointment. With that done, started heading west again, stopped at a mall just before we exited the city to get some sleeping mats at Atmosphere outdoor shop as they had 25% off them. So now we are all set for South America, gear wise. Got back to Banff around 7pm and staying in the carpark at the Bourgeau Lake trailhead - this is the hike we were hoping to do yesterday. Anyway it is right next to the highway so I think it will be earplugs tonight. Our lowest step count to date: D 6160 / V 4480.Leggi altro
