Today the ship was at sea as we make our way back to Rotterdam arriving tomorrow morning which will mark the end of the first leg of our cruise. Gaye is suffering from a bit of a bad back which has slowly gotten worse over the last couple of weeks and is not helped by all of the walking, standing and stairs we have been doing. Hopefully an easier day will benefit her.
We had breakfast delivered to our room this morning which was a nice change. We had intended to go to a talk this morning on what it takes to keep the ship functioning but there was standing room only when we got there 15 minutes before it was due to start so we went up to the Crows Nest for a coffee instead which was very nice. Other than a couple of ships and several oil rigs there is not a lot to see. We are meeting up with the rest of our group at 6.30 tonight in the Crows Nest to drink the remaining bottles of bubbly that were in our cabins when we first boarded. Needless to say we will not be contributing other than to help finish off the bottles.Read more
