Fahrt in die Berge

🇩🇪 Um 9 Uhr morgens haben wir uns an den Villas getroffen. Insgesamt sind wir mit einem Ladewagen und einem normalen Auto zu siebt losgefahren. Der älterer Herr, der die Organisation gemacht hat und dem die Villen gehören, heißt Kartika. Mit ihm, seinen zwei Söhnen, einem Neffen und zwei ältere Freunde haben wir uns auf den Weg gemaht. Unser Weg sollte uns an die Ostküste von Bali in die Region des Mount Agung gebracht, welcher der höchste Berg von Bali ist. Die Fahrt selbst hat etwa 2 Stunden gedauert, während der wir eine Pause zum Essen gemacht haben. Auf Bali stehen fast überall offene Holzpavilions die zum Rasten gedacht sind. Touristen sieht man gewöhnlich nicht dort rasten und somit war es für mich das erste mal, dass ich in so einem saß. Es wurde Essen in Form von Reis, etwas Hühnchen und Gemüse mitgebracht, welches traditionell mit den Händen gegessen wurde.

Die Fahrt führte uns an der Ostküste entlang in die Berge und man konnte auf die weiten des Ozeans sehen und die nächste größere Insel Lombok sehen, die noch hinter Nusa Penida ist. Sobald es an die steileren Stellen des Berges ging, war die Fahrt etwas zäh und es hat sich wie eine Ewigkeit angefüht, bis wir endlich am ersten Ziel angekommen sind.

🇺🇸 At 9 AM, we met at the villas. In total, seven of us set off in a flatbed truck and a regular car. The older gentleman who organized the trip and owns the villas is named Kartika. Along with him, his two sons, a nephew, and two older friends, we headed out. Our destination was the east coast of Bali, in the region of Mount Agung, which is the highest mountain on the island. The journey itself took about 2 hours, during which we made a stop to eat. In Bali, there are open wooden pavilions almost everywhere that are intended for resting. Tourists usually aren't seen resting there, so it was my first time sitting in one. We had food consisting of rice, some chicken, and vegetables, which is traditionally eaten with the hands.

The drive took us along the east coast into the mountains, and we could see the vastness of the ocean and the next larger island, Lombok, which is beyond Nusa Penida. As soon as we reached the steeper parts of the mountain, the drive became somewhat tedious and felt like it took forever until we finally arrived at our first destination.Læs mere
