• Beaulieu River to FSMBC

    Apr 11–13 in England ⋅ 🌬 12 °C

1145 slipped from mooring and sailed all the way to Fareham Creek for a couple of nights alongside on Fareham Sailing and Motorboat Club (FSMBC), arriving at 1734.
A brisk sail with max apparent wind speed 40kts. Arrived in the creek much earlier than expected, due to a much better Mean Line of Advance (MLA) (and leaving too early.) so we did a Starmer (u-turn) and parked for a very short while on Wicor mid-water pontoon where the westerly 35kts of wind eased us on to the berth. An interesting spring off a couple of hours later and our friend Mike was on the FSMBC club berth to take our lines.
Another pleasant sail. and 2 nights alongside to have dinner with Mike and our friends John and Bev at the Castle in the Air, just down the road from the club.
That evening we met new members Vanessa and Beverly (another Bev) and had a superb evening chatting with them and maybe sharing the odd sherbet.
    Mike stayed onboard overnight Saturday.
We stayed at FSMBC until our departure on Monday 13 April,.
