• Thursday 11 June. Carlingford Marina

    Jun 11–13 in Scotland ⋅ 🌧 13 °C

A wet and windy day…..again! Went in and chatted with Monica, the lovely young lady who runs the marina. Paid for a couple of nights as we wanted to explore the small town.

With the tidal stream constraints, we could have escaped first thing (had we been awake;) hey ho, a restful day and opportunity to write a bit and generally chill.

We wandered down and explored Carlingford Castle (from a short distance, it is a ruin. Did a little shopping and discovered a couple of nice pubs. Met up with another ex matelot so we had a beer or 3 and sang salty songs and spun salty dits, like yer do.
Back to the boat for an early-ish night.
