Cable Car @ Quito

Yesterday I went to the cable car of Quito.
It took me up to an altitude of approximately 4.100m above sea-level.
The views over Quito and the hiking trails were magnificent.

Loooooooong trip, but worth the efforts...
Went to this laguna inside an old crater. Bit cold there but beautiful views over the Laguna.

Moved from Quito to Baños, much loser to the Andes and the Amazonas
Stayed at a beautiful little hostel which had an art-exhibition going on. Also added some graffiti photos from the town. 🎨

Managed to do a beautiful hike, heading out to the forest and then up the mountain ⛰
Didn't have much of a plan where I was going, but komoot (hiking app) helped a bit. 😂

Took the local bus, for a tour to a famous and spectacular waterfall.
It was a beautiful short walk from the bus station to the waterfall, which can be accessed by two sides.

When in Baños.... Haha. One fun thing to do, is to visit "La Casa del Arbol".

This cute little fella was hungry for some fresh, juicy fruit and came up on me so to steal some of the mandarina 🍊
Apparently he belongs to one of the kids living at the lodge here. 🏡

Ended up going to the local markets, which have an overwhelming selection of great craft souvenirs but also fresh produce.
The meat-section was a bit shocking.
Amantani Island @ Lake Titikaka Peru

I decided to escape Puno and stay for two nights on the Islands Amantani and Taquile.
I got hosted by a local family, who provided food and housing, and took me to some local hikes as well as to the Czytaj więcej

I had the whole Island to myself - no other tourists, up until late afternoon.
My host family supplied me with some take-away lunch.
Was very relaxing, with magnificent views over the islands.

Border 🛂 passing from Peru 🇵🇪 to Bolivia 🇧🇴 by bus.
The bus ride was quite relaxed. The border control was equally smooth but took some time.

I booked a beautiful little hostel, called "Sol y Lago".
They have some Llamas, Dogs and cats.
My view from the room is just magnificent - I'm looking towards Lake Titikaka, from the Bolivian side.

Spectacular place to view the coast of Copacabana.
Local ceremonys are being held there too, with candles lit.
Unfortunately a lot of rubbish can be found on the mountain as well.
Isla del Sol ☀

Yesterday I took a boat from Copacabana to Isla del Sol. ☀
