    Aukštaitija is both the largest region in Lithuania and in the Rumšiškės Museum. This area of Lithuania includes Panevėžys which is where I believe my Grandfather Slykas was born.

    Aukštaitija is the name of one of the five ethnographic regions of Lithuania. It is in the northeast part of Lithuania and also encompasses a small part of Latvia and Belarus. The largest city and, though not in any strict political sense, the considered capital of the region is Panevėžys.Lue lisää
