Daugirdas Hotel in Kaunas

We had previously stayed at the Daugirdas Hotel in Kaunas when we were on our way to Klaipėda. We came back for our "family history" part of the trip because our guide Vincas Bundza lived in Kaunas. It was also the closest major city to the various villages and towns we wanted to visit.

The hotel was very clean but in some ways awkward. My bed was king-sized and basically a wall-to-wall bed. The suitcase stand was so narrow that I had to put my big suitcase on the desk. The hotel had air conditioning, but I had to request that they turn it on at the front desk. Not everyone uses AC and hotels try to save on their use of energy. But, breakfast was great!もっと詳しく
