  • Bartlett House!

    August 13, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

Yeah! We are in Boise! Kids are super excited about the playroom. 4-way Call of Duty is a huge hit. Patrick is loving the Play mobile, Thomas trains and cars from his cousins. He's already tried to hide Doc Hudson in our camper to take home! A nerf gun fight has erupted as well. Life is good!

    Bison burgers for dinner. Yum!

  • Goodbye, Bartlett Family!

    August 15, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 77 °F

We had an amazing stay with the Bartlett family in Boise! While it may seem we were just there for laundry and food, it was so much more valuable than that! We had cousin bonding, bike rides (still can't believe Angus and Gordie went up the side of the mountain near their house!), gelato, relaxing and good old fashion family bonding.

These pictures from games of Pie Face and Quelf are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the amount of fun we had in Boise. Wish you lived closer to us, Bartlett's! SO MUCH FUN!!!! Don't worry, we'll be back for a visit. Xoxo 😘

  • John Day Dam & The Dalles Dam

    August 15, 2017 in the United States ⋅ 🌫 82 °F

While driving we decided that Lewis & Clark and all of the westward travelers on the Oregon Trail were insanely hardy, adventurous and incredible! Wow! We passed through mountains, lots of sage brush, along a raging river and through a canyon. They really wanted a better life and we are thankful for their dedication! What beautiful country, but in the winter it must be brutal as there were multiple spots for putting on chains for your vehicles in order to get through passes and over mountains.Read more

Sweet! This campground turned out to be great! Yes, it's tucked up in the hills next to I-84, but the trees block the highway and it's more just white noise. Great sleeping conditions. ⛺️ 👍🏻

Patrick headed straight for the dirt!

Taco Tuesday! 🌮 Life is good!

Visited the first dam built on the Columbia River in 1937. President Roosevelt inaugurated the bridge himself. The fall fish run hasn't quite begun yet so there were not many fish in the ladders, but still fun to see what we could. Lots of pacific lamprey that look like giant eels.Read more
