  • Antelope Island State Park, Utah

    August 24, 2015 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 81 °F

Next stop on the tour is a little island located just northeast of Salt Lake City called Antelope Island State Park. There are antelope on the island, but the island is more well known for their herd of 500-700 bison! We drove across the seven mile causeway to get into the park and were not disappointed seeing about 5. We'll be sure to get pictures tomorrow.

Love our unique campsite once again. Located close to the beach with hares and cool beetles running around nearby. Lots of fun sand to play with and areas to explore. Thank you for the recommendation, Philip Bartlett!

  • Exploring Antelope Island

    August 25, 2015 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 88 °F

Drove around Antelope Island looking for wildlife. Found some bison, one antelope and lots of lizards. The lizards were on the hike to the highest peak on the island, Frary Peak, at 6,596ft. With no coverage and heat inching up in the mid 90's, only Angus saw the summit. The Visitor Center here is well done. A great visit!

Passed through Syracuse, UT on our way out!

  • Fiery Furnace Tour, Arches

    August 27, 2015 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 75 °F

Angus, Maddie and Gordie went on what they deemed the best tour all trip today. It was exploring the cracks and canyons in amongst the rocks in Arches for three hours with a Ranger. While all of the photos are on the real camera, here are a few scenic ones of the park now that the sun has come out. Angus earned his Jr.Park Ranger badge for being the sweeper of the tour. ¡Muy bien!Read more
