Cartagena

What a great welcome to South America. We loved Cartagena and we would say it's our favourite city so far on this trip! So many colours, beautiful paintings, happy people, music, art good food and only good vibes 🤩
While we were waiting to get our van back from the port we discovered the neighbourhood of Getsemaní, once a poor place that reawakened with the tourism.
Vini met old friends from Brazil and we finally met a swiss couple that we were in contact with on instagram but never met because they were always ahead of us. The swiss are both veterinarian and adopted a dog in Mexico. Now they have a super useful instagram account about travelling with dogs and cats on the Panamerican Highway. They helped us a lot and made all the border crossing with Leki way easier!
Thanks to Ana (port agent on the colombian side) and overland embassy the process to get our van back went very fast and smooth.
Although we really enjoyed Cartagena we were happy to have our car back after 3 days and hit the road again 🤗Leggi altro
