    November 24, 2016 in France ⋅ ⛅ 11 °C

It was only a three hour flight to Paris but it felt like three hundred hour journey with the lack of sleep. We arrived at 10.00 in the morning and even with no sleep got some last minute shopping done Aux Vieux Campeur and had some lunch before a nap.

In the evening we hit Sunset club for some jazz and then off to bed.

Next day was lunch with Ira and massage at Dans le Noir.

Our last day we dropped off suitcases with Ira and left with our backpacks for the airport hotel fir an early morning departure.

    Jaipur to Agra

    November 23, 2016 in India ⋅ ⛅ 33 °C

Still not 100% healthy we we sat out at 5:15 for a sunrise ballon ride outside Jaipur. Was a special morning with crisp air. Passing over the a small village the children rushed to rooftops and fields to welcome the balloon shooting hello and beckoning us to land.

Unfortunately the afternoon was spent in bed recovering from Jai's revenge. Feeling better Anya and I ventured out in a tuktuk for night photos.

The next day we left for Agra. A five hour bus ride past quickly peppered with moments of terror as the bus maneuvered to miss passing traffic.

In Agra we visited the famed Taj Mahal!!! And red fort. Taj was a place of beauty and wondering around you imagined the love that created this place only to end in tragedy.

    St Petesburg

    November 9, 2016 in Russia ⋅ ☁️ -5 °C

A short busy six days with Anya. Added this this leg to attend the wedding of Ira and Sasha. And now I can say I've been to a Russian wedding. Was a great experience that I will always remember. Ceremony was an official one like Sandra and Marc's wedding. With vows and sighning of the marriage contact, completely different from the religious ceremonies in the Americas. Did get to hit Jamie's Italien, duck at Asia and The Caviar Bar at The Eupora for champagne and Armenian caviar. Then it was off to the airport at 3.00 in the morning to head to Paris.Read more

    Houston to St Petesburg

    November 8, 2016 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 19 °C

Thank the gods for Start Alliance! In an effort to book all round trip tickets I had to break up my flights into segments. Like this I was going to have to claim my luggage in Amsterdam and recheck it in my Lufthansa flight with a three hour lay over. Since I always use Star Alliance I was able to check all my bags all the way through to St Petessburg and did not have to pay Lufthansa for my extra bag. Feels good to get one over on the airlines with this bullshit paying for bags issue. As we know I had the privilege of spending 16 hours in the Petrsburg airport on my last arrival due to a visa issue. This was the first test of the new visa at the airport and I was happy to have no problems this time.Read more
