Day 5 continued - Ljubljana castle

After settling into our hotel we walked around the city. The old town is situated along the banks of the Ljubljanica river and is an interesting mixture of 17th-19th century architecture from the mediterranean (particularly Italy), Germany and eastern Europe (a nod to its past as part of the former Yugoslav republic). Like many European cities that had its roots in pre-medieval times, there is a castle on a hill looming over the town. We hiked up and enjoyed some great views from the top.もっと詳しく
