Friday I worked the morning, then we packed up camp. It took us a while to get away as we had to stop via town in Tom Price for groceries and a few other supplies. We then got about 20km down the road before hitting gravel, realising we'd taken the unsealed 'shortcut' route west toward the coast (thanks Google). So back into town, then we headed southwest on the main sealed road towards Paraburdoo, which did give us the opportunity to stop in at the Red Dog statue there, as it's known to be his birthplace.

We had some pretty special vistas on the drive, with the scenery really interesting and the sunset turning it on for us once again.

We hadn't planned where to stop as we didn't know how far we'd get to today, assuming we wouldn't make it all the way to Exmouth due to me working the morning. In the end we pulled into the only stop with power on this 6hr stretch of road (at this time of year), Nanutarra Roadhouse, about 7pm just as dark was setting in. We had an easy pull through site, which helped with getting organised for dinner and bed.
