Full day tour of Samosir Island

Today we spent a full day touring Samosir Island in the middle of lake Toba the largest volcanic lake in the world. It was absolutely beautiful. Even though it wasn't sunny it was nice.
We started off with a site of traditional traditional Batak village . In the village they had an area which was used for executions. The guide advised that many times after an execution of a hand for stealing or entire body for betraying the king the parts will be cooked and fed to the citizens who were cannibals. Quite a deterrent if I might say.Leggi altro
