    May 16 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 54 °F

Today I woke up and decided to go hiking (surprise ;). We had 4,000 ft of down hill hiking in store for today. Definitely heading down into the desert again.
Today was also a town day, sort of! We camped at the Action RV Park where I enjoyed showers, laundry, and foood!!!Read more

TravelerSince early on, I have heard there was a family of 12 hiking the trail. Yesterday we saw them on the trail and last night they setup camp right next to me. I helped them setup their tents and had a chance to talk with them a bit. Their oldest child looks about 12 years old and the youngest is almost 2. I can't even imagine how they are doing this. The father said when he is loaded with water his pack weighs about 80lbs, he carries the infant, which is part of that weight. And I thought my pack was heavy.....
