Day 37 - mile 587

I'm back on the trail again after enjoying a fantastic family reunion in St George. I jumped ahead a bit (about 35 miles) to make it easier to get back to the trail.
This morning, I got onto the trail being well rested and fed from the last week in civilization. The next 140 miles are going to be challenging with long water carries and hot exposed hillsides. Today started with a 16 mile water carry and 4,200 ft of elevation gain. I may have gotten a little soft from the week away, but still did ok.
During the time off, I made some gear adjustments. I have a new backpack and tent. Each is a fraction of the weight of the ones I replaced. Both are working well.Читать далее
