Stayed a night in chamonix and did the aiguille du Midi lift, which was amazing.
Decided to go to grindelwald for two days before Murren.
Hotel. Com upgraded us - nice hotel.

Spent day wandering around Interlaken and Thun area,
Including nice castle tour.

Made weather decision to move on to Murren instead of trying the Jungfraujoch and Eiger.

Can you even BELIEVE how gorgeous it is there??? And SO accessible...that's what amazed us. We have peaks, but they're not really as accessible. Those Swiss have it down!

Good weather in the Dolomites again. Drove from Cortina to Gardena Pass and then out the west side of Dolomites. Great scenery.

Spent part of day in Dolomites then down to Venice.
At first Venice seemed dumpy a.d crowded, but grew on me some over the day.
Logistics of running this island city fascinating.
