100 kms West of Esperance

After spending a week in Albany we set off today towards Esperance.
Camped up tonight in a gravel pit. First campfire of the trip!

Norseman to Cocklebiddy rest area today. Nice day but chilly. Not a lot of wind. Saw the bits that fell from the Skylab all those years ago.

Wow, what a day. Crossed the border into SA, Camper the night at Bunda Cliffs. What a view and location. Weather perfect ☀️

What an amazing spot to spend a few days. Enjoyed our time in the sun watching the tides come and go.

Drove through Venus Bay on our way to Coffin Bay. Stopped for lunch in Elliston.

Spending a couple of nights in Port Lincoln. John Martin’s Caravan storage, only $5 per night. 5 mins to town.
Tumby Bay

A cute little town just north of Port Lincoln. $7.50 per night at the RV rest stop with water and a dump point available. Stay 2 nights get 2 free!

Little town with a great RV stop.
Whyalla

Pulled into Whyalla today (the town where I was born). Did a drive by of my first home. Took a walk on the unusual jetty, circular in the middle. Staying at the football oval for $10 per night.
Elvis museum in Whyalla

The Elvis Museum was great. What dedication from an enthusiastic Elvis fan. Hard to believe this house is lived in everyday!
Warraloo and Moonta

Camped out last night at Clements Gap. Visited Kadina, Warraloo and Moonta today before stopping in Maitland for the night. Camped in RV area opposite the hospital.
Hahndorf today

Ok I’m in love with the Adelaide Hills. It’s so beautiful here. I have always liked autumn leaves!

Walked around the Adelaide Botanical Gardens today. Wow! The colours are spectacular at this time of year.
Motor Museum

Rainy day today so off to the motor museum we went.
Had to stop at another chocolate factory (only because we were driving past) 🤣
Foodland Pasadena

Pasadena Foodland.
OMG. They say it’s the best supermarket in the world.
It was impressive.
You can dine in - full restaurant, take away, have hi-tea, etc. Full bar facilities, coffee shop.

Camped at the recreation park in Bordertown tonight. Beautiful spot.
Mt Gambier

We arrived in Mt Gambier yesterday. Visited the blue lake and a couple of the sunken gardens today.
Nelson, Port MacDonnell

Hells hole, Victorian border, Nelson, Port MacDonnell, Mount Schank, Little Blue Hole.
Big day out with lots of walking and climbing!
