Mayflower cruise on the Murray River

Cruised up the Murray river today aboard the Mayflower paddle steamer. The Hello SA film crew were on board filming for an up coming episode.

Angaston, Tanunda, Seppeltsfield

Arrived in Angaston yesterday. We are spending the week with Chris and Linda.
First stop today was Maggie Beer’s farm shop and kitchen for a coffee and cake.
Aviation museum in Greenock was next for Warren.
On to Seppeltsfield next to look
around.
The chocolate factory was next on the list but had a (not so quick) detour into the mead cellar door for a delicious tasting of desert wines and white ‘fort’ as the have to call them now. Hic, a few bottles found their way into our car 🤪
Pizza and a glass of wine in Angaston to finish off the day.Read more

We spent 5 days at Chris and Linda’s in the Barossa. What a beautiful place, oh and the wine is not bad either!

4x4 full day drive in Flinders Ranges

We took a little 4x4 drive today. 7 hours later we returned to camp. The changes is the scenery are both beautiful and amazing.

Kings Canyon Rim Walk

It’s Territory Day up here in the NT.
We did the Kings Canyon Rim Walk. Never believe anyone who tells you it’s easy after the first 150 steps! OMG not a walk for anyone with bad knees. Coming down was hard.Read more

The Sounds of Silence dinner tonight was fantastic. Bubbles and canapés while we watched the sun set on Uluṟu. Then a wonderful dinner, didgeridoo playing and star gazing experience (with a shooting star).Read more

Banka Banka & Daly Waters

Since we left Alice Springs, we have taken our time getting to Mataranka. We spent one night free camping, one at Banka Banka station, where we were treated to a campfire, damper and entertainment. One night at the famous Daly Waters pub, had the best beef and Barra for dinner while listening to the entertainment. This is where the weather started to get warm. 32’c was a shock to the system.Read more

Wow, we feel like we are in the NT now. 36’c! The springs here are amazing. So nice to experience them ourselves after hearing so much about them. Glad we bought our pool noodles, reef shoes and goggles.Read more
