• Bournemouth to Krakow

    January 9 in England ⋅ ☁️ 4 °C

After Christmas and New Year being stuck at home and climbing the walls a cheeky New Year trip was in order! I found really cheap Ryanair flights for £48 return to Krakow from Bournemouth.. Originally I was going to come on my own as I posted it in our friend group and no-one seemed interested. Then Pauline decided to come as it was 2 days after her birthday 😃. Just before Christmas we went for a girls Sunday roast and before we had our meals Liz and Mel had booked their flights at the table 🤣. A week later and Lisa had tagged on and then Carol. Accommodation seemed ridiculously cheap too. Pauline got a deal for 4 in a lovely apartment on booking.com in the Old Town that would be £33 each for 2 nights. When the numbers went up to 6, Mel booked another apartment close by for the additional 2 of them. The flight was a doddle.. it always is from Bournemouth. Clarence dropped 3 of us off and Lisa parked in the car park for the others. £60 for the weekend between the 3 of them. The flight took off about 30 minutes (10pm) late but we made up time and we arrived at 1am Polish time. I actually fell asleep on the flight which is completely not like me so it seemed to be over immediately 🤣. The transfer was easy.. we checked out the ranked taxis and I checked out a Bolt.. the Bolt was half the price, 54 zloty (£11) between 4 so I ordered the Bolt, it took 10 minutes to arrive. Holy hell it was cold.. despite gloves my fingertips were freezing and numb and the feeling didn't come back till we were almost in the apartment. The taxi ride was 20 minutes. Access to the apartment was a doddle.. 2 codes and we were in. The apartment is really lovely, 2 rooms with 2 single beds, 2 bathrooms. 3rd floor in the heart of the Old Town. Was tucked up in bed by 3am 😴. Here's hoping I'm not awake in 3 hours at my normal UK time.Read more
