Day 18. Burgos

We met a pilgrim from Washington State this morning, taking a rest day due to knee issues. We made a good connection and chose to go back to the Cathedral for the Pilgrims Mass. Although we are neither Catholic nor Spanish speaking, it was heartfelt. Took a stroll along the plaza and park area. They were having a live concert with a 4 piece band.
I woke up this morning with some plantar fasciitis pain to my heel, but with a band, a few exercises and ibuprofen, I was able to get around better.
Maybe we are just two old people wanting to do the impossible…..but we keep bouncing back. Three more days and we will be back on the trail again
