    Quick stop over at Kings Canyon. The resort fronts the red cliffs of the range.

    With the aim to travel through the West MacDonnell Range, bright and early we purchased our permit to travel the Mereenie loop and headed off. The Mereenie loop is 160klms of unsealed corrugated road. Three hours later we pulled up at Tylers lookout to gaze out over the plain and check if we had sustained any van damage.

    Luckily nothing serious, we had to readjust the door lock and for some reason a couple of broken latches on the kitchen draws. And why is it that the smelliest things always spill. Thank heavens I wasn’t carrying fish sauce. the soy was bad enough. Quick clean up and we were on our way again.

    Heading toward Alice Springs we visited Ormiston Gorge and the Ochre Pits.
