Day 3 Washington DC

Another full day of viewing Museums, Memorials and Monuments which included: The Holocaust, Vietnam, Arlington Cemetery, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers and the changing of the guard, the grave of JFK and of course The White House. 7.5 miles of walking, more on the Metro train and bus lines. We took time to experience the changing of the guard of the Unknown Soldiers at Arlington Cemetery. They have steps for the spectators to sit on and watch in silent reverence a tribute to all our fallen soldiers who remain unknown. It's a very moving experience. What a full day of American history.Les mer
