Day 2 New Orleans “NOLA”

Spent the morning wandering around the Garden District which is old historic homes, more like mansions built around the late 1800’s. They put the Spokane South Hill to shame. Check out the Lafayette Cemetery pics that show how they bury their remains above ground. Not only for sea level reasons but also for family crypt traditions. We were fortunate enough to join a tour as they were strolling with a guided walking tour by accident which ended up being very informative. Then back to downtown NOLA to the French Market via the trolley system. Public transportation has been an education for us for sure. 😳😷 On to Galveston tomorrow.Read more
