Antelope Canyon

We had a 2 1/2 hour drive from The Grand Canyon along a two lane very bumpy rolling highway on the Navajo Indian Reservation. The reservation land had interesting sand hill landscapes as we traveled to Page, AZ. All I can say is wow!!! Antelope Canyon in Page Arizona is so beautiful. . We had an awesome Navajo guide that took us through the box canyon who not only gave us history on the canyon, but took incredible photos for us. The canyon was accidentally discovered in 1931 by a young Navajo girl herding sheep. Today, Navajo sheep herders ancestors own and operate the Antelope Canyon tours. The box canyon cannot be seen while standing on the surface of the desert floor. You must go done 50 plus feet to get inside it.Read more
