UNESCO world heritage village where the roofs are in the shape of ‘prayer hands’ but in fact are shaped that way so the snow will easily fall off. One of the wettest areas in Japan. And SO cold.

The biggest Buddha I’ve ever seen, a Japanese lunch, Osaka castle, caught our bus driver sleeping, and of course the bowing deer. Some were cute, some bit me in the bum.

Loved this little place. Not too busy and I did lots of wandering alone. Sensuie Onsen, Nara castle, and street markets where this man and his dog were just too cute to pass by.

Loved it here. Wish I had another day. Yufuin village is so pretty and there are lots of food stands to choose from. Want to go back and try the cheesecake from Milch.
