Is there a doctor or nurse on board?

    5月17日, スウェーデン ⋅ ☁️ 48 °F

We hunkered down for a Semi long flight. One wretchedly awful Delta meal and one screening of The Hunger games later, Em and I tried catching some Zzzs. Just as I was getting sleepy, an announcement blared overhead, "we need a doctor or a nurse. If you are a doctor or a nurse, please put on your call light". Forgetting that I haven't actually done any hands on nursing in a good 25 years, I boldly put on my call light and was quickly rushed to the front of the plane, with a harried flight attendant explaining that a passenger fainted and her husband needs reassurance. Ok...got it. The woman was fine, and after my little assessment and checkover, I declaired her viable. Her husband, on the other hand, was still mightily concerned, which I don't blame him for since he actually started giving her mouth to mouth before she came to. The flight attendant asked me if they should order an ambulance to meet us. "what the heck... Why not?" was my answer as I returned to my seat. Sleep impossible now, I got a viewing of Wicked while having a piss poor Delta breakfast, and we disembarked in Stockholm.
I saw my patient later and she was a walkie - talkie (nurse code for vertical and coherent). So all is well.
    Then we got coffee.
    Life is good!!!!!
