I let the Ween (aka Emily) sleep in while I went down to sample as many Swedish breakfast delicacies as I could muster.
Pickled herring - - freaking delicious!! And reminded me of how I used to crave this when I was pregnant with Emily (but not with Oliver. Weird)
Liver pate - - also weirdly good and brought me right back to summers at Cape cod with I went through a liverwurst phase.
Bröd and butter - - as of at gluten free bread can be so in other words, it was fine.
Quark - like a super tart yogurt
Gluten free muesli
Turkish yogurt
Fresh raspberry jam
Muesli mix station: pumpkin seeds, Chia seeds, coconut, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries
A vanilla gluten free cookie: like a grown up version of an animal cracker
I am freaking full.
And I get to do it again in an hour when the ween wakes up!
Addendum: Emily's swedish breakfast included pancakes with strawberry compote, brown bread with meat and cheese.
I stole some cookies and crackers for the train ride.
