Day 1 - Canterbury to Shepherdswell

The Cathedral Dean, David, gave us our Pilgrim Blessing, and then we headed out in the rain. Today's walk was fantastic. The rain did not last too long. The countryside in Kent is green and gorgeous. The word "idyllic" does apply. We met pilgrims who were Danes, one Canadian, and a couple from Noosa. When we got to Shepherdswell, we hit the local, the Bell Inn, and, as with every other interaction so far in the UK, encountered lovely people who were happy to share their time with us and help us find our way to our accommodation for the night.
