Day 3 - Calais to Wissant

What started as a cold bright morning turned into a day of rain, and it remained cold all day - around 11 degrees. We stopped for coffee at a wonderful bar, run by Alexa and Frank. They were lovely friendly people, as was everyone else in the place and they were impressed that we were pilgrims. There was a lot of beach walking today, which would have been fantastic in better weather, and what I could see of the coast line was majestic. Mary-Lou and I separated just over halfway, which meant she was able to avoid the impassable creek just before Wissant. I, on the other hand, got my feet wet! We are both exhausted, and I expect we will sleep well tonight.Baca lagi
